Epilepsy Awareness Month

Blog by Samantha Estrada

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that happens in the brain causing seizures, unusual behavior, loss of awareness, and sensations and is the third most common neurological disorder in the United States. This means that over 3 million Americans suffer from Epilepsy and 2 out of 3 people are not diagnosed with a cause. Since the age of 14 I have unknowingly suffered from Epilepsy. This is why I have paired myself with the Epilepsy Foundation of America to help raise awareness of this disease and help save a life. My name is Samantha Estrada and I am one of the Ms. Full-Figured USA NJ 2020 Delegates.
